A special thanks to our Board Officers and Directors who dedicate countless hours to serving the mission and governance needs of the Chelsea Hicks Foundation.

“Joining Chelsea’s Closet was important to me because of the happiness they bring to seriously ill children. These children are going through their hardest days and some are so young they have no idea why. To be able to bring just a moment of happiness, to get their mind off of their treatment, and to see their parents smile while their child is dressing up is AMAZING. That is why I wanted to join this amazing foundation. Giving families the chance to freeze time and make memories that everyone can laugh at and enjoy, is worth every moment spent with Chelsea’s Closet.” |
“In one capacity or another, I’ve been involved and connected with The Chelsea Hicks Foundation since its inception. Initially, I was a board member and participated in many of the “firsts.” The first hospital visit to Doernbecher, the first masquerade ball, the first visit to Randall. Involvement with CHF helps me to feel like I’m doing something meaningful.” |
“There is nothing more rewarding than bringing a smile to a child who is fighting a serious illness- their courage and strength transforms me every day I am lucky enough to work with each and every one of them.” |

“To help a family experience fun and laughter even for a short period of time while dealing with serious illness is worth so much! I hope to do all I can to support the efforts of the Chelsea Hicks Foundation to make that happen.” |
|
“After spending so much time in the hospital with Chelsea, I understand how a serious illness impacts the entire family, not just the patient. Our hope with Chelsea’s Closet is to give the families the distraction of fun and therapeutic play so they can create moments of everyday silliness that only a costume can bring, when they Dance like Princesses and Fly like Superheroes.” |
“Chelsea’s journey showed me that even in those difficult times, children want reminders of childhood, so they can forget for a moment what they are going through. With Chelsea’s Closet, we are giving families a chance to smile and laugh and battle their illness as any crazy, silly character they want. These moments are priceless and something that is so important as they go through treatment.” |
“I love the look of joy on the faces of the kids when I show up with the costume of a beloved character for them to wear. This is why Chelsea’s Closet exists and it’s so gratifying to bring the kids something fun in a place that isn’t fun most of the time. It’s inspirational and means a great deal to me that I can be a part of this organization.” |

I’m so grateful CHF has offered me this opportunity.” |
“By joining CHF’s efforts as a Board Member, I now have the privilege of working to make CHF a stronger, more prominent foundation.” |
“CHF is very close to our hearts. The support we received during the hardest part of our life left a lasting impact. We want to be a part of helping others enjoy the love and support that CHF offers the patient and the whole family.” |
