So good to see you…

Welcome L.O.U.D Recruit:

Fifteen years ago a little girl named Chelsea made a lasting mark on the world. Her legacy is the Chelsea Hicks Foundation (CHF), headquartered in an unassuming warehouse outside Portland, Oregon. Today, more than 20,000 children and teens battling serious illnesses have been served by the mission of CHF during some of the darkest times for them and their families.

Earlier this year, a group of like-minded do-gooders formed to bring attention to the vital work of CHF and the urgent need to address the mental and emotional well-being of seriously ill children and teens. A covert operation began and is thriving as L.O.U.D Agents work to recruit additional members in secret until December 31, 2024.

I am pleased to inform you that you have been deemed worthy of membership in the Foundation’s venerated League of Undercover Donors. The coin you were given depicting the likeness of our beloved monkey E-e is the only way to gain entry into the altruistic circle of L.O.U.D. The only way these coins make their way into the world is via hand-to-hand exchange. Further, only 300 coins exist on this planet. Clearly, you are special. I respectfully ask you to consider working with us.

Your mission is to bring joy to seriously ill children by empowering them through the fun of costume play therapy as they endure long hospitalizations and brutal treatments. Your gift can help a child become a superhero who can handle anything with their super strength, or a princess who can take charge of the kingdom instead of feeling powerless. (Or a giraffe, a banana, a pirate… We’ve seen it all.) You can give patients and their siblings a chance to engage in normal play despite the hospital setting, and give families the gift of hope and happy memories when they see their kids just being kids, not sick kids.

L.O.U.D, despite its acronym, is a SECRET. Please remember that this level of secrecy is the hallmark of Section X of the Code of E-e, and abiding by the code is critical to the operation’s success. Therefore,

  1. No posting to social media about L.O.U.D.
  2. Please donate whatever makes sense to you.
  3. The coin must be passed to the next worthy Recruit as soon as possible.
  4. We hope you will share general information about what CHF does with the rest of the world. You can help us grow!

We will keep track of your coin’s whereabouts and the number of Recruits it reaches until December 31, 2024. My assistant Sharon Treasure will update you periodically regarding your coin’s progress, including the funds your coin has raised. We will announce the total raised by all 300 coins at the end of the operation in December.

Again, I have reviewed your credentials and I am confident you will be an asset to the Foundation. I ask that you maintain operational continuity and carry out your mission. We look forward to working with you as we continue to empower seriously ill children and bring hope to families everywhere!

Charitably yours,

Agt. Macon A. Gift
