Join us in a year of celebration – marking the 10th Anniversary of Chelsea’s Closet! Throughout the year, we invite you to meet the people who bring the organization to life!
Kristin Trippe – Research Microbiologist for USDA Agricultural Research Service and Board Chair for Chelsea’s Closet
“Chelsea’s Closet was an important part of our daughter Lilli’s journey – and it is important to me to contribute so that other families have the opportunity to feel the joy that our family felt every time Lilli received a new costume. Selfishly, it also helps me remember, honor, and keep her with me.
Through my continued involvement with Chelsea’s Closet, I’ve learned that something that seems so simple (like bringing a Costume Closet to a hospital) is really not very simple, and that it takes a concerted effort to accomplish this task. Being a part of this organization also gives me the opportunity to work closely with a diverse group that I normally wouldn’t be exposed to.
My goal as Board President is to continue to support fundraising efforts through the Northwest String Summit (this year’s dates are July 18-21 at Hornings Hideout) by having Chelsea’s Closet benefit from the Lilli Trippe Memorial Shave, which takes place at the Summit each year. I live in Philomath with my husband and daughter, Viola. We enjoy everything about Oregon, music, and being active in our community.”
