100 Women Who Care Portland Share Compassion and Color with the Chelsea Hicks Foundation
On October 14, the inspiring women of 100 Women Who Care Portland held their quarterly Compassion Drive, dedicating this event to supporting the Chelsea Hicks Foundation. Their incredible generosity and spirit of giving came together in a powerful way to bring joy, color, and creativity to children in local hospitals.
These remarkable women joined forces with one shared goal: to help us fill our goodie bags with items that bring smiles to children during our hospital visits. Their focus for this drive was on collecting crayons, markers, colored pencils, and coloring books-simple gifts that make a big difference by giving kids an outlet for creativity, imagination, and self-expression.
Coloring the World with Kindness
Thanks to their compassion and teamwork, the drive was a wonderful success. Together, they collected more than 186 coloring books for children of all ages, 198 boxes of crayons, 45 boxes of markers, 55 packers of colored pencils, 100 fun & wacky pencils and a variety of fun art supplies.
Each of these items will be included in the goodie bags we deliver to children in hospitals, bringing a burst of color, comfort, and joy to brighten their day. The impact of these gifts extends far beyond the pages of a coloring book-they represent kindness, care, and connection from the community.
A Heartfelt Thank You
We are deeply grateful to 100 Women Who Care Portland for choosing to support the Chelsea Hicks Foundation through their Compassion Drive. Their dedication to helping others perfectly reflects our mission to bring happiness, play, and creativity to children facing medical challenges.
It's through the kindness and collective efforts of groups like this that we're able to continue spreading smiles and magic where they're needed most.
Thank you, 100 Women Who Care Portland, for filling our goodie bags-and children's hearts-with color, love, and hope!
