Spreading Holiday Cheer: Market Village and Northbrook Apartments Bring Joy to Children with Chelsea Hicks Foundation

 This holiday season, the spirit of giving was alive and well at Market Village and Northbrook Apartments, where residents and staff came together to support the Chelsea Hicks Foundation Holiday Supply Drive, and the results were nothing short of incredible.

At the heart of this effort is Property Manager Krystle Weixel, whose compassion and commitment to community shine through everything she does. Managing two multifamily communities is no small feat, yet Krystle continually looks for meaningful ways to give back. With the support of her amazing

 team, from her assistants to the maintenance technicians, she fosters an environment where residents feel cared for, connected, and inspired to help others.

So when the idea of a Holiday Supply Drive to support children in local hospitals was introduced, the response was immediate: they were all in. Even more inspiring, their residents quickly followed suit.

A Simple Mission with a Big Impact

The mission was clear and heartfelt: bubbles, crayons, and blankets. These items are delivered regularly by the Chelsea Hicks Foundation during monthly hospital visits and bring comfort, joy, and a sense of normalcy to children facing serious illness.

Knowing that crayons are one of our greatest ongoing needs, Market Village and Northbrook Apartments set an ambitious goal of collecting 100 boxes.

They didn’t just meet that goal, they soared past it.

By the Numbers

Thanks to the generosity of residents and staff, the final totals were:

• 153 boxes of crayons
• 64 bottles of bubbles
• 9 cozy blankets

Each item represents a smile, a moment of comfort, and a reminder to a child in the hospital that they are not forgotten.
