CHF Masquerade Ball Chair
THANK YOU to our sponsors, donors, guests, volunteers, board members and talented partners who helped CHF raise a record $115,000 at our 5th Annual Masquerade Ball! Just five years ago, Chelsea’s Closet was an emerging idea with hopes of bringing dress-up play to children at local hospitals. Our first Masquerade Ball in October 2010 was attended by 150 guests and raised $50,000, which was a number we were so proud of. However, only five years later, this year’s event had 240 guests and topped our expectations! CHF is a small, family-run, non-profit with three part-time staff, a tight budget and countless volunteers – yet we proudly deliver an amazingly fun and memorable dress-up program to more than 1,000 seriously ill children at both Doernbecher and Randall Children’s Hospitals each year. Both hospitals have asked CHF to increase program frequency and bring joy and therapeutic play to even more sick children.
All things worth loving require hard work and sacrifice, which no one knows more than the staff, board members and volunteers of Chelsea’s Closet. We simply could not accomplish our goals without the continued generosity of our donors, community partners and friends we meet along the way. We are forever grateful for those who contribute what they can, whether it’s a sacrifice of time, money, resources… or simply by spreading the word. No simple act is unworthy when it involves the hope and smiles of seriously ill children in Oregon and Southwest Washington. Thank you for continuing to support CHF and we look forward to another amazing five years as we work to reach even more children and their families.
